Dr. Courtney
Dr. Courtney was born and raised in Bonner Springs, Ks. After graduating Bonner Springs High School, he attended Baker University where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Courtney then attended UMKC School of Dentistry graduating in 1996. He then completed a general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Courtney practiced in Bonner Springs for 5 years before moving his practice to Leavenworth in 2001. In December of 2005 he opened his state-of-the-art dental office in Lansing.
Dr. Courtney is dedicated to patient care and attends many hours of continuing education to learn about the latest advances in dental technology.
Dr. Courtney is a member of the American Dental Assoc., the Kansas Dental Assoc., the North East District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Courtney is married and has four children. His Hobbies include his kids’ activities, church activities, camping, boating, fishing, and golf.

Originally from south Missouri, Dr. Nowlin has lived and practiced in Leavenworth for the last sixteen years. He attended undergraduate school at Missouri State University and graduated from UMKC School of dentistry in 1994.
Dr. Nowlin focuses on providing gentle quality dental care for families and individuals. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Northeast District Dental Association, and Kansas Dental Association.

Renee Maestas, RDH
Renee Maestas, RDH lived in the Leavenworth area since 2001. Originally born in Oregon, she has lived in New Mexico, Texas, Alabama and Alaska. Throughtout her life she always enjoyed the dental office and would ask as a child “How can I work here?” Realizing later in life that dental hygiene really was her calling, she pursued that goal. She attended Johnson County Community College Dental Hygiene School, graduating in 2008. She was the Vice President of her class and managed to get through it all while raising three children. One of her favorite experiences during school was working with patients at a local nursing home. She hopes to use that experience to one day obtain an extended care permit to be able to travel to and work with elderly. This will help to provide them with dental care in their home setting-eliminating the hassle of transportation to the dental office.
Renee is focused on compassionate and thorough patient care. She realizes that coming to the dental office is a very personal experience and strives to treat each patient with the highest consideration for their individual needs.
Renee enjoys spending time with her loving husband, three wonderful children, and family dog. They stay very active with numerous sporting events. They enjoy camping and hiking. Renee enjoys traveling and experiencing the beauty of nature, especially that of our amazing national parks.
Sara A. Hoffman, RDH
Sara A. Hoffman, RDH, was born in Kansas City, KS, and raised in Basehor, KS. Sara graduated from Basehor – Linwood High School in 2003. Sara then attended Johnson County Community College, graduating in May 2010 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Sara was awarded the Professionalism Award from the Dental Hygiene Department at graduation. Sara was also nominated for the Outstanding Student Award at Johnson County Community College and awarded the Health Midwest Scholarship.
While attending Johnson County Community College, Sara was a member of the Alpha Iota Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and a student member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, which Sara has continued to stay a member of after graduating.
Sara is very passionate about oral health and delivering the highest quality care and education to her patients.
Sara is engaged to her fiance, Kevin, and plans to be married June 2011. She resides in Tonganoxie with Kevin, and their dog Lucy. Sara enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, reading, home improvement projects, music, movies, taking Lucy for walks, and relaxing.
